Any thoughts on the 147 GR in FMJ casing? What has your experience been? I've been thinking about getting some practice in with this one? How are you using this grain...defense, practice or competition?
I don't have any experience with them, I'm guessing you're talking about 9mm, best choices for 9mm defensive ammo are usually in the 115 gr to 125 gr weight range, and those are the weight rounds that would be best for practice since the heavier weight round is going to have a completely different impact point on target.
I shoot the 147gr. 9mm loads frequently. I like them. In target loads they are light recoiling. When loaded to self-defense velocities, the better HP designs offer the best ballistics of any bullet weight.
