Ok, I gotta chime in here on this one too.
I live is the state as Dan has mentioned. Tons of red tape to get a fire arm into this state.
Probably 90% of the hand guns allowed into this state contain some sort of hammer safety or fire pin safety to pass the safety tests including the drop test. By next year 100% of the gun will be required to have the safeties mentioned above. Pretty soon we gonna need to punch a combination to discharge the gun.
M&P .40 passed the test, thus allowing me to own one.
So, unless you see something in writing, dont believe them.
Also, I own a Kimber 1911, Sig P220, and ofcourse the M&P .40.
So, can we all just get along......
