I wonder if I go camp outside the USPSA offices now, if i'll be first in line for Production registration.
I mean, it works for the guys wanting PS3 and Wiis!

Bryan W said:don't worry about how you'll look - the vast majority of shooters are C and B class shooters. I shot my first nationals in 94 as a C class shooter - placed 129th but won 3rd in C class. That was probably the funnest nationals I've shot - it was certainly the most exciting. I've shot many since then but my point here is don't let the fact that you're just now starting out scare you away from a great shooting experience. You have plenty of time to get classified - Hope to see you there next year.
Bryan W said:Yeah, I bet the berms, range, etc., will look awesome next year. I'm really looking forward to going back again. I'm actually glad that the Production rotation is back in Tulsa rather than Montana - Logistically, it's an easier trip for me from Austin. I think it took us about 8 hours or so to drive up.

K said:The MecGar mags yes, they feed great, but dont want to drop free, however, the SP01 mags from factory (18 or 19 rounders) are perfect, drop free, feed great and very fast for reloading, so I stick with those. I didnt have any malfunctions of any kind at Nats w/ my SP01. We did have a few on my squad that shot Glocks and I saw them having issues, but mine ran flawless. Mine has fun flawless for quite a while now.
I will say, last night during one of our dept transition classes, I was running some 3 shot drills w/ my personal MP9 and at very low light and about as fast as I could hose and the MP was shooting pretty damn nice. I put about 200 rounds into a target and they grouped about half the size of the circle in the IDPA target from 10 yards. My MP9 is at 700 rounds and counting w/ no malfunctions of any kind.
