I've always loaded 200 gr lead SWC in 45 acp, I've got some 230 gr lead RN right now but the next batch will be back to the old standby, the 200 gr SWC.

New bullets...well we are seeing a lot of the copper plated bullets like the Rainier and Berry's, nice since you don't have the bullet lube that makes lead bullets so dirty, as for new bullet designs, the only new designs I've seen in 45 are the Cowboy Action bullets like the RNFP, but a friend who is in the bullet casting business says they don't feed in an auto pistol.

I don't know that they're new, but I've had good luck with 225-230gr truncated cone bullets.

Both Lee and Saeco have molds. The TC is the only thing besides round nose that feeds reliably in my 1911, and I prefer the flat meplat.

Works well in the .45 Colt also.
