Howdy everybody.

I know that the HK USP supposedly handles the 45 Super, and that a 1911 can be converted to shoot it, but what about the M&P45? It seems like a great cartridge for hiking/camping. Has anyone tried it?

If anyone is wondering about this, I called S&W and they told me that no one has tested it and it would void the warrenty.

If you can find a 30lb recoil spring... I'd say go for it. The chamber is well supported, and if you really need that much power, or can afford to plink with .45Super, the warranty is the last thing you'd be worrying about.

I have seen people shoot the 45 Super in 1911, G21s, SIGP220s, HKs, and S&W4506s. I'm sure you could do it in an M&P too.

HK and S&W say do not do it, and I'm w them.
