I'm still waiting on the M&P 45 that my local dealer has on order for me (two more weeks plus the state mandated 10 day new gun owner torture period), but while I was "in town" yesterday I stopped and looked at the supply my old "big city" stocking dealer had on hand. I noticed that the 45's trigger pull was a good 2-3lbs heavier than the full sized 40's. Does anyone know why? This isn't MA and we don't have a mandated trigger pull requirement yet. Someday (probably involving trigger to frame welds), but not yet. Anyway I'm already planning on a trigger job, but I'm just wondering why the squeeze the @#$% out of it 8lb-ish trigger pull? Is there a technical reason? I note that in general our M&P wizards don't take the 45s as light as they do the 40s and the 9s. I'm just curious why... I'm spoiled by a 3.5lb 1911 trigger but I can live happily with the 4.5lbs offered by our wizards.
