That depends on how far back from the muzzle the wider dimension of the barrel that locks up with the front of the slide extends.

If it were me; I’d get a barrel that was made for the size slide that I had.

I have one of the .40/9mm conversion barrel. The full diameter at the muzzle is 1/2 inch long so while it would probably fit and fire it would not be correct or have the accuracy of the correct barrel.

Well, the difference in a five inch and 4 1/4” barrel is 3/4”, so he may not have any lockup on the muzzle end.

I was hoping the extra length would be a little better then the regular length for accuracy if it fits. I generally shoot 25-50 yards a couple hundred rounds a week at ny local range because the ipsc section gets a little crowded
