Well, I did it........I dumped my two XD's (9mm & 45acp) along with a POS Taurus 24/7 in 45acp (very nasty mag problems with that gun) and put the money towards a shiny (matte-like shiny hehe) new 1911 SS w/tac rail. Since I don't have a 9mm anymore, I'm just gonna have to pick up another M&P for that "requirement." Of course, living here in the *other* Kalifornia (Maryland), I can't pick it up for another week or so.



I finally have emptied my safe of all foreign matter and will only buy homegrown US hardware in the future.



If the ur-a-pee-ins don't like us, screw 'em! I'll buy my own country's guns from now on!!!!!!! I feel better doing this, anyway.



So.....now I gotta figure out a new screenname or whatever it's called. I gotta lose the 'dougxd' soon.

Wow, that is what I call dedication. While I'm not quite ready to give up my Beretta or my Walther, I will applaud your efforts sir! On a side note, FN is very supportive of our second amendment, so I'm gonna give them some business when I can afford to cough up 1400 bucks for that PS90 I've been wanting.

The lions share of my handguns are S&Ws. However, I also have Berettas (#2 in volume owned), a Glock, a FN Hi-Power 9mm, and a couple of other brands. One can own Berettas and still have all American, though mine are about half and half.

I agree with doug...



"Made in the USA" is one of the reasons I prefer S&W over alot of the other gun manufactures... I would rather support a family in the US then some smuck across the big pond that doesn't like us...

I prefer American made guns, for the same reason as everyone else. Matter-o-fact never owned anything else but American firearms. I was actually suprised when Springfield arms started importing the XD's.

Most of the parts for their 1911's are from brazil/mexico. I wonder where the socom is made?
