Has anyone tried this? It is surprisingly comfortable even with my long fingers. It would be the perfect solution for those with small hands. I predict that eventually Mr. Burwell and Mr. Bowie will be filling in the gaps back there and offering it as part of their custom services.

I have not tried it, but I do remember reading a review in one of the gun magazines that it could be comfortably done.

If you like lanyards and you don't mind having to use something besides the takedown tool to hit the sear deactivation lever, if you go "gripless" you can use the hole in the bottom of the grip to anchor a lanyard loop. One that could be larger and more substantial the one pictured on p.9 of the 2007 catalog.
