Better than practice

I've found another way to improve groups with my new favorite pistol

and I don't think it is cheating.

Dan Burwell of the site sponsor Burwell Gunsmithing just did a trigger job on my M&P9.

The results are well worth it. The release is very crisp @ 3.5-4 lb with no overtravel.

I was able to try it at the range and noted off hand and benchrest groups have been reduced.

The sites hold completely steady still when dry fired.

He is very professional and rightfully takes pride in his work and short turnaround time.

Sure. If you are in to shooting tight groups, a good trigger job is one of the best things you can do to get better results.

The best thing you can do is practice your technique, over and over.

I like the M&P trigger except for the break it has, it is comparable to a Glock with an NY1 trigger spring installed on the stock connector I think. I imagine in time it will not be so harsh on the break but I am comfortable with the trigger travel, weight, and reset.

I shoot my M&P 40 better than I ever did my Glock (mdel 23 and 35), and I like the M&P trigger just the way it is (from the factory).

i undertand though that you are better off with the trigger the way it is(factory ) so you dont accidentally shoot yourself in your ****.?

I think the trigger, like it is from the factory, gets better the more you shoot it. I am very comfortable with mine now and don't even notice when I squeeze off a shot. I think the sites are VERY easy to re-acquire after each shot. I can get on the next target with the M&P much faster than any other gun I own, including my S&W 1911 45 ACP. I am very close to being as accurate with the M&P 40 as I am with my CZ75B SA 9mm.
