I have a BG380 that I like in my carry stable rotation....until yesterday! :(

FORTUNATELY, I was at the range practicing with it when the slide locked in place about a half inch from battery. Would go all the way forward, but not back. Finally got it apart and found that the screw that holds the laser in place in the frame had backed out and was not allowing the slide to open fully.

Thank God it happened at the range, not in a crisis. :veryangry:

Have any of you had, or heard of this happening? Can't imagine I'm the first or only one. It certainly makes me hesitant to use it for protection now. :realmad:

You already posted this on the S$W forum.. didn't like the answers? This is such old news, but, it is good to remind people that may not know how to service their BG380. Now if you just want to remind people of this issue with the early model BG, spare us the drama.. and just add the fix that was so graciously given you on the S&W forum..

Ok, I'm sorry, what was I thinking .... since the previous 2 posts in this helpful thread failed to give 500 the proper welcome, I will .....

Welcome aboard 500, hope you enjoy your stay here, am sure you are here to learn and share in our passion for the M&P pistols!

Reeeeeallly, sorry if my 1st post was a little direct and pointed, I can see a pattern of grumpiness befalling me as I age ... not to mention patience as well... but I'm working on it....

For a brief moment, i thought i was on a glock forum :no
This is the kind of behavior that keeps me away from here anymore.
Seems a few on here just wanna kick people in the nuts, over nothing.

Well, EXCUUUUSE me!
Hey Hubcap,
first of all, welcome to the M&P forum... glad to see you join. Dont let it get under your skin, theres a bunch of good guys in here, i`m sure somebody will chime in and help you with your problem. Just hit your ignore button on anyone who badgers you. Every forum has A-holes, just ignore them, and if that dosent work, just contact the admins. This kind of behavior needs to be addressed before we lose all the good folks here. I dont come in here much anymore just for that reason. Use to come in here everyday, now i`m down to maybe once every couple weeks. Soon it will be once a month, then never. If they dont clean out these people that badger others and dont contribute anything but harassment, there wont be any forum left here worth looking at.

Welcome to the forum.

I didn't even show up to the thread because I haven't a clue what a BG380 is and I still don't.

The OP probably got pissed and left, and i cant blame the person. Its amazing how people treat each other so unkindly.
I wish the OP would come back and describe what a BG380 is... i`m at a loss myself too.

happened to me too but i caught it in time and ran some threadlock on the screw, no problems since. as long as you have a good tool, youll still be able to get the screw out later. worked for me. s&w wont do anything about it either.....
