You better dig up a GOOD sight pusher, especially if the factory sight is pretty tight. Doesn't take much to break that vial. I had mine replaced on a Kimber Eclipse Target. Pistolsmith that did it used a special jig on a milling machine. He said it was a tight fit (factory sight). Also had to dress new FO sight a bit before installing it.



Before taking it to him, I tried to push mine out using a drill press. Couldn't even start to budge it.

If you secure the slide well, the chances youll break it is about 5%; not bad odds.

Just prepare to be unlucky.

Home Depot has soft grip vice jaws in tool dept for $10. Go get em, lock the slide in your vise and go. I'll be doing wife's 9c next week with new one's I got from Bowie Tactical!



Don't forget to put your slide in a ziploc before you do the rear - just in case the firing pin block spring and cap get away from you.
