I just purchased an M&P40 yesterday. I am a bit puzzled by the label. For one thing, the SKU is not listed in their current catalogue. It is 309700.

Secondly there is what appears to be a configuration code:

15-AD-LG-GP-SL-SN-FP-DM-ZL

Googling for the SKU or the code turns up nothing, although I did learn the label does contain a manufacturing date in day-of-year format. Mine is 6200 - the two hundredth day of 2006, or 19 July 2006, which is consistent with the cartridge sample included. The envelope containing the sample is dated 18 July 2006.

Does anyone know what these code letters represent?

it's an LEO package with magazine disconnect in .40 if I remember the sku correctly. You got three magazines with it right?

My MP40 has the magazine disconnect but only got two magazines. :roll:

Thanks sablair for posting this and to those who posted the answer. I've been wondering what those codes meant.

I forgot to ad, mine does not have the internal lock either. But if it did I just wouldn't use it. I'd just keep the key in the original case.

I have a Bersa Thunder 380 with the internal key lock but I just ignore it & keep the key in the original box just in case I ever sell it to someone who might want it. :roll:

Mine also has BS & SD.

I ordered mine without the internal lock, and without the mag disconnect. Is yours this way Derbes?

BS = Stainless Barrel

SD = Sight Dot Front and Rear.

As of 5/1/07, the only LE M&Ps that did not come with three mags were Product Code 109306, 109156 and 109556: all M&P45s.
