Does anyone make a non-captive spring and guide rod? If so where? I want to change spring weight.
"Captive" spring no longer captive!
In taking my M&P apart for cleaning, after about 1,000 rounds, I took the guide rod out and the pressed in front end popped right off, releasing the spring. It won't go back in with enough pressure to contain the spring.
Is this a warranty replacement from S&W? Are they likely to just send me a new guiderod/spring assembly?
Any way to limp this together somehow for a weekend shoot?
