I have recently been ordained with a not entirely restricted CCW from Maryland.

Is there anyone out there who can answer this:

If I'm on my way home from work, and the wife needs a gallon of milk, can I go into the supermarket without leaving my weapon behind??

Same thing if I'm out on a job and it's lunch time. Must I dis-arm before heading into Mickey D's??

OK so I called the officer who investigated my application.

To and from work: If you need a gallon of milk, the weapon must be secured as if there was no permit involved. By stopping I would be outside of the restrictions on the permit. ie. To and from work, the bank and on business activities. (So what is more secure, in the glove box (I drive a PickUp) or on my side??)

Same thing if I'm on a job and need to stop for lunch. Drive through is OK, but don't carry into a restaurant.

Finally, though MD law makes no distinction between open and concealed carry, MDSP prefers the weapon be concealed.

We maintain our rights by excercising them rather than bowing to a "Bureaucrats Preference".
