Hi everyone,



I've visited your forum here a few times in the past 2-3 weeks, and decided it was time to officially log in. I'm currently the happy owner of a Glock 19. I've been debating getting a .40 caliber gun in addition to my 9mm, and noticed the M&P is getting a lot of great reviews from the press and owners.



Hoping to get out to TargetWorld in the next week or two - they have a M&P 40 in the rental case, but last weekend it was out for repair... and like any gun, I'd rather not consider purchasing one until i've put some holes in a few targets.



Anyway - good to be here.

No idea what the repair was... but it's a given that rental guns are nowhere near cleaned as they should be, 100's of rounds per week, etc etc.



Not to mention the possibility that you'll have a person clueless about handgun specifics renting it.



It's common that their rentals of all makes - Glocks, SIG, etc - are occasionally not available. Some signs say cleaning, others say repair, and some say repair/cleaning - so it's really possible it wasnt "broken" and was just undergoing routine care.

heck, I'd bet thousands of rounds per week, I put 500 through mine every sitting!

The magazine catch fell apart or broke on that gun (I shoot there a couple times a week and teach some of the archery guys stuff since I am a professional archery coach and a former range owner). TW just got in a ton of new M&P including some with night sights. I will be there tomorrow morning-I have a 40 I keep in my car thorn if you want to try it
