Bought one for a SIG P229R, very disappointed in it. Loaned it to a buddy who's been carrying appendix for quite a while, his opinion was the same. It's just not really well thought out. It rides too high and the contours aren't conducive to appendix carry.
Since the holsters are hand-made, it's possible mine was just a poor example. I've owned half a dozen or so holsters from Comp-Tac and certainly there are small variations from holster to holster. Hopefully, others will have a more positive report on the 2 o'clock.
This is the kind of feedback I was looking for. I currently use a cheapo nylon holster for appendix carry and it's perfect for everything except retention. I thought kydex might be too stiff and sharp to wear up front.
Have you tried any other holsters for appendix carry?
Nope. I'm very comfortable with regular IWB, even in a car. Bought the 2 O'Clock more as an experiment than anything else. Any plans to use appendix carry with an M&P will have to wait until a manual safety version becomes available in 9mm.
