I thought I remembered reading somewhere about either Dan Burwell or Dave Bowie's grip texturizing work was ok'd by either IDPA or USPSA. Am I just dreaming?

For IDPA, Stippling the grip is fine. However, if it is a nine or .40, it will move you from SSP to ESP. If it is a .45 and you are shooting CDP, it is still fine.

Or, if you just like things HARD...you can shoot the ..45 in ESP, too!

Replacing the replaceable grip with a heavier stippled one should be OK in IDPA SSP. You can't stipple the front strap though I don't think.

Take Care
