They are very close to completion - I will have a set of them on my M&P this weekend. I did some group shooting for Dawson this weekend to help him develop a baseline for determining the front sight height - or versions to offer. He has his shop M&P but that particular gun doesn't want to group very well. Mine, on the other hand, shot very well and we were able to get some decent baseline data.

They are accepting orders for the sights now and they should be ready to ship shortly. I'll try to post a picture this weekend of the rear sights - They should be available with different notch widths and the fronts should come in two or three different sizes as well.

If anyone has any questions or input on what they'd like to see I can pass it along to Dave - PM me with specifics-

Thanks-

I want a Dawson FOFS with a Warren rear. I've got that setup on my Sig and I love the sight picture. So Dawson's done their part....Warren, your turn! Make me a rear sight!

The Dawson rears will be worth looking at as well. What features on Scott's sights do you like? Just the wider rear notch?

The wider notch and the smooth face. For some reason the serrated face draws my attention and is distracting. For me atleast. I like the combo of the red FOFS and a smooth solid black rear.

How wide is the rear notch on Wide Notch version?

On the Sevigny version of the Warren sights I like the rear drafted non-serrated rear in combination with a serrated front sight. It really pulls the eyes to the front sight. On the Warren sights I like the "U" notch.

If the Dawson sights have very fine serrations then that might work as well. The serrations on some sights are too course and distract from the front sight.

Since the rear of the M&P slide is rounded I doubt they will "hang over" like the Glock versions. I guess well need to wait on the pics.

I'll see if I can post some pics this weekend - maybe Sunday. I'll also check on the notch width but I'm thinking a .140 -

I had Dave make me a set of .140 rears - fixed sights- for my G17. I was running a .105 all black front site and this particular set up was perfect for me - I'm sure I'll have something similar for the M&P.

I agree with you on the serrations comments - I don't like the heavy serrations on the rear sight at all. I'll keep you guys posted.

The Dawson fixed rears for the M&P series are now done - Dave will begin shipping orders on Monday. I have the first set on my gun and they are outstanding. He really did a fantastic job with the design. Fiber Optic fronts are also done. Rear sights will come with either a .116 or .130 rear notch.

I'll try to post some pictures of my gun tomorrow.

From what I can tell in the picture the DP rear looks like a conventional sight with a square cut notch. The Warren sight has a radius in the notch, the sight picture looks just like the sight outline from his web site which is below if I did it right.

I tried one of the prototypes and it was different, I liked it but it would take more trigger time and a couple of matches to get used to it and see how much I really liked it. One of my shooters swears by them, we had to con Scott out of one to put on his new M&P after he borrowed one of Ernie's M&P's with the Warren's on it at the Carolina Cup.
