Hi All,



Great site. I'm close to pulling the trigger to order one. Bud's gunshop has the M&P 40 for $369 listed with a Black stainless slide. It does not list Melonite slide and barrel like on the M&P 9 mm for $369. Is this just an oversite, or are some models just plain SS with a black oxide coating or are all M&P's Melonite treated SS? I want the Melonite finish, I don't mind paying extra to get the finish. Thanks.

Stainless slide with Melonite finish is standard, there aren't any variations available, some custom shops are removing the finish for a custom look.

The ones bud's has "DO NOT" have the "NEW" Ext slide stop/release on them.

The newer models are shipping with the ext slide stop/release!

Yes, but that requires sending in your new M&P to S&W to have it done!
