I was wondering today, seeing that the 357 Sig will hopefully be on the sales shelves sometime soon...

Does anyone have both a .40 cal and a 9mm, and if so, would you suppose that the 9mm slide/ejector could be used with the .40 cal?

It's probably the most obvious question ever asked, but I couldn't think of any reason why it couldn't be done as a versatility exercise.

Thanks guys, that last reply was the info I was seeking..

"...Now if you wanted to get a whole new top end that would work just fine in the M&P the frames are the same and the best I can tell the ejectors are the same as well, so all you would have to do is slide one off and the other on..."

I had multiple slides and barrels on my 1911 so I could shoot .45/9mm/.38Super/.22 and a few others from the same receiver.
