I recently picked up a spray can of S&W dry lube and was wondering if anyone uses this stuff on there guns in place of a quality oil?

The concept of a non-oily gun that will not collect as much dirt is great but does this product work as well & oil?

If it's like remington dry lube, then I use it. It's pretty much the foundation of my 10/22 that rarely if ever gets cleaned. So far rarely means it was disassembled once after 1000 rounds to make sure everything was ok, and hasn't gotten more than a patch through the barrel every few bricks.

That's assuming it is the same.

The M&P requires a very small amount of lube. Only about 7-8 drops at the various lube points. I'll stick with my Breakfree-CLP.
