I just returned mine today. After running 500 rounds with it in and comparing it with the stock spring

I found that the stock was better for me in my 40 as with the DPM i was sprayingall over and even though the recoil was lighter the muzzle flip was way out there, so i sent it back.

I have posted this before but I have my flame retardent suit on so I'll do it again. According to Alan at Sprinco, who makes a very nice recoil reducing guide rod bye the way. According to him, the Glock and M&P models are not the same. They tried theirs and were not happy with the way it fit or functioned. Please correct me if I am wrong but this company doesn't have a M&P specific part yet either. If it is a range gun do what you like, it is after all your money. I'd pass though if you think you might ever need this for something serious. As you know, Mr. Murphy will visit at the most inopertune time.
Really? My groups shrunk by about 30% at 7 yards.

I was going to say I find this very very hard to believe but I won't cause I don't want Jester to have to edit me again
It's not hard to believe, becuase you have two choices.

1) you didn't start with very good groups at 7 yards, which means your technique probably has issues. If the gadget aggravates your bad technique less, you will shoot better.

2) You have good technique, which means you have nice tight groups at 7 yards, which means that a 30% reduction isn't that much.

Either way, I'd rather just buy an extra 1000 heads and practice more.

I haave been shooting at 30 and 50 feeet as i want the practice with the distance, before the BG gets to close for comfort. I was using the gold spring and gave it a good try but it just did not for me or the Range master who said the same thing and she is about 100lbs soaking wet.

Take it however you want. I like it and I let a few other guys w/ stock M&Ps shoot it and they all liked it as well. I will be keeping it. Personally, I hated the muzzle flip of a .40. This helped tame it a bit and that's all that I was looking for. I really don't care if you believe me or not.

BTW, I have about 500 rounds through it w/ this spring so far and no malfunctions.
