DPX v Golden Saber

The 230g Rem Golden Saber v 160g CorBon DPX.

From S&W M&P45 through denim into jugs of water.

230 GS 860 fps/378 ft lbs, 4th jug (24 inches) at .70 caliber

160 DPX 1190 fps/503 ft lbs, 3rd jug (18 inches) at .85 caliber

Both are standard pressure loads. The DPX recoil was virtually identical to the 230 (to me anyway).

The 124 +P GS v 115 +P DPX from M&P9 through denim into jugs of water.

124 +P GS 1185 fps/387 ft lbs, 4th jug (24 inches) at .66 caliber

115 +P DPX 1285 fps/422 ft lbs, 4th jug (24 inches) at .58 caliber

Both (M&P9/45) were also more pleasant to shoot and easier to hit w than just about anything in 155/165/180 in the M&P40. Of course, YMMV.

From what I've seen and heard in other tests, the DPX is hard to beat through actual windshields and car doors.
