My dumb thought of the day anyway:

Ok, I've seen a Tee Shirt ad on the net showing a graphic image of the circle with a slash thought it over a picture or drawing of a Handgun.

Text says something about being unarmed or not guns aren't safe or something.

Apparently meant as a joke gift to someone who's anti-gun.

Now - Say your wearing it and you ARE ARMED and someone tries to robmugcarjackbeat your butt or something that ends up with your shooting them.

Now for the dumb part: If they live - any chance of your wearing that shirt being held against you?

Same Question if they don't live......

That would be kind of like if you had a T-shirt that read in Arabic

Mohammad was a pimp, a pedophile and a fraud

Or “Islam is a scourge upon the land

And it caused you do get in a fight that ended up in gun play that killed the person offended by the T-shirt. Probably would not be a problem here in Texas if you thought your life was in danger, but I would sure hate to be in that predicament in California or the Northeast. I prefer clothing that has no slogans, etc. on it.

Well, just because you may have created an attraction to an illegal act does not mean that illegal act is ever jsutified under the law.

i.e. the perpetrator is not getting off because you wore a shirt. Criminally speaking, you shouldn't be any less justified ina jsutified shooting because you wore it.

That doesn't mean it won't be brought up as an emotional appeal to the jury though, but any good lawyer should shoot that down. Declaringyour self, indirectly and erroneously or otherwise, as anti-gun or gun free would not reasonably be constured as instigating an attack.

However, you will also have to make it throguh any ensuing civil litigation. At which point it is about a preponderance of evidence about a nebulous outcome rather than beyond a reasonable doubt regarding a written law. At that point the "hunting over bait" analogy might cause you some issues.

Probably not something you'd want to be caught wearing if you ever had to shoot someone. Just like a shirt that says, "Guns don't kill people - I do." Bad deal right there.

Good point. I sure wouldn't want to be wearing that one if involved in a shooting.....

According to the non-ccw jurisdictions, this shirt wouldn't be the cause of the crime. Because the bad guys already know you're not carrying. So if you are carrying, your either LEO, working security or a bad guy too.

1/3 gives you the right to shot back regardless

1/3 gets you written up for being out of uniform

1/3 doesn't give a rip because he's bad too.
