Hello all. Went to range today to try out DIY trigger job. Loaded up as normal, racked slide to load round, fired, and slide came back like on last round. But next round sitting low on ramp, but not going into chamber. Thought it was just me not shooting for 3 or 4 weeks, and maybe limp wristing. So I change mags, same result. But now, it will cycle 6 or 7 rounds, and then the same problem. Even tried 1 mag with WWB, and 1 with UMC, same thing. Any ideas ???? Thanks.

Are you accidently pushing the slide stop up with your thumb?

Could your grip be forcing you to engage the slide stop? I have had a lot of problems with that in Sigs.

The question re: the slide stop was my first test. I gripped it low enough to not contact it at all, same result. The 4th mag, I got off 6 shots before the failure, but then it was one after the other. Is it possible the nose of the bullet is hanging up on the feed ramp ? It hasn't happened before, and even changing ammo, same result.

M4arc, sounds similar to mine. I'll take down and clean, inspect, and polish the feed ramp, and give it a try Friday. Thanks to all again.
