I've never shot a moving target with a pistol, I bet it could get interesting with open sights!



I've taken a few shots at moving animals with a rifle, moving animals at 200+ yards usually means a miss, but you think you have to try sometimes!

It's not as hard as it seems. Say you are shooting 165 grainers at 1000fps. That's 0.05 seconds to get to the target at 50 feet. Takes about 1 second to move the width of a target, which is about 18 inches.



So, about .9 inches during bullet flight. Which is meaningless.



So all you ahve to remember to not chase it, but to get ahead of it and fire when the leading edge of the A-zone hits your sights. Between reaction time and the above, should basically be a-zone hits.
