Tried out my new M&P40 today. Have never shot a 40 caliber before and I have a handicap- I lost the tip of my trigger finger in an industrial accident years ago so my trigger control leaves something to be desired. One reason that I got the M&P is that I can reach the trigger fairly easily. I really like this gun- put a hundred rounds through it without a single hiccup. It is easy for me to handle-better than my Berreta 92 or my Sistema 45. Did some aimed fire and then some point shooting. Very easy to handle and kept everything on target . I think I'll be back out with it again tomorrow. To anyone thinking of getting one don't hesitate. Rich

Congrats on the new pistola. You may try to retrain yourself to shoot with the other hand... It's funky at first, but after you adapt you can be even better then before you lost the tip of your finger. Plus your pistol has ambidextrious controls.

Also, the smallest back strap may facilitate making the reach to the trigger even easier, if you haven't tried it.

I'd be surprised if this is news to you, but I figured its worth a mention!

Enjoy, welcome to the forums!
