Despite appearances, the Blue Angel DID NOT fly UNDER the Golden Gate Bridge, it looks like he did, but at the end of the series of photos, the guy that took them pointed that out!

Taken from that website: "All shots taken w/ a Nikon D50 w/ Nikkor 70-300mm 1:4-5.6G lens; center spot metering and focus, jets shot w/ shutter priority at 1/2000sec."

With DSLR camera's even a noob can look like a semi-pro.

Great pictures! Glad to see that the libs in SF were not able to keep them out. For those who do not know there were members of the city council who were trying to keep the Blues out of Fleet Week and at one time stated that they did not support nor did they want Fleet Week in SF because it endorses the military.

F'n socialist liberals.

I can't take credit for those photos, they aren't mine, all I did was post the link for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks for the link..Awesome pics. I never miss the Ft.Lauderdale Air Show. But they are cancelling this May, for lack of a corporate sponsor. It is too cool, to see and feel the awesome power of those engines thumping you in the chest. Here, they do a watermelon bombing run in the ocean with a B-52, about a 150 yards off the beach. An amphibious force assaults the beach at center viewing, and of course the Angels/ Tbirds, Golden Knights, and a Carrier/or Battle Ship anchored offshore. I am seriously going to miss it. That view with the Golden Gate and the mountains in the background are pretty amazing. Thanks again for the link/post.

Great pics, I too love the Blues. They are based here in Pensacola and practice every tuesday and wednesday. Any one can go see the whole show every time they fly. Makes you proud to be American when they come tear azzing by

Awesome pics! Based in P'Cola...but guess who's company turns your every day, run of the mill, Navy Hornet into a Blue??? That's right, Fleet Readiness Center South East (formerly Naval Air Depot, JAX)! We really don't do a whole lot to em, some electronics (and software), add some inverted flight fuel compartments and swap the gun out for an oil tank. Another couple of minor mods and you got yourself a Blue. It is actually pretty much the same capabilities as every F-18 out there, truly amazing!
