Hey All,

I got my gun back from S&W today. As a recap I sent in the gun about two weeks ago following the discovery of a fractured ejector. They replaced the ejector without issue. However, they did not return the mag I sent with the gun and put a slice in my soft sided case. It appears they used a razor to open the UPS box I sent. I called and they are sending me another mag, but did not offer to replace the soft sided case. It did not cost much, but I was a little annoyed that they did not step up to the plate. I could push the issue, but its not really worth my time.

For some reason I thought they would include an additional mag for my trouble instead of forgetting to return my own.

Oh well.

The instruction manual (page 31) states: "When returning pistol, please include all magazines ensuring they are unloaded; they are important to the proper function of the handgun."

:?

The person I talked to did not say what to send.

I sent one mag with my 9MM. Hope I get it back.

Good to know, thanks.
My comment was simply based on personal experience. The person to whom I spoke requested specifically that I only send the pistol back. Either way, I'm sure it was a fluke situation. In the end, I have full confidence that Smith will make it right with minimal inconvenience.

The Smith return page asks specifically for the gun to be shipped in the hard plastic case with all the magazines included.....

I sent both magazines with my pistol and it was returned with a 3rd, free of charge. seems to be a trend with Smith.

Not really a trend if I didn't get any magazines back.

I sent a Walther PPK back to S&W due to a frame issue. I sent it in the original box but took out the misc stuff. Just the pistol and the 2 mags that came with it.

Got it back a few weeks later, perfectly repaired.

But they only gave me back one magazine.

I called them up and they sent me one. Took a month or so because they were out of stock at the time.
