I just got my MP40 not long ago. I have noticed that it shoots to the left. At first I assumed it was me, but I had 4 other people fire it and it was shooting to the left for them as well. Then I saw on this site about the front sight being off for some people. So I checked it and, to my surprise the front sight is off. So here is my question.

Can I just tap it back to center?

The reason why I’m asking is because I thought the front sight was not Adjustable so before I start tabbing on it I wanted to make sure that I could.

Mount your slide in a vise protected with a soft cloth. Use a drift punch to knock the sight over to center. The front sight is usually tight, so be careful.

Be sure to punch on the dovetail of the sight. Do not hit the blade because it will break off.

Yes, but use a brass drift to do it, you don't want to mess it up.
