Hello Everyone,

I was very happy to find this forum!

One of the pistols I own is a 9mm Sigma which I really like, but I have been reading alot about the 9mm M&P which I like. The only problem is, as you know, they are very hard to find...

I live in Upstate NY, and nobody (dealer) has them yet. The M&P 40 finally arrived at Gander Mountain last week, but they have no clue when they will get the 9mm.

Thanks Jester.

I think the popularity has to do with this caliber combining a few important factors:

1 -- Big enough to provide adequate stopping power

2 -- Small enough to have high capacity magazines (17 rounds!)

3 -- Very inexpensive to shoot (~$11 per box of 50 target bullets)

4 -- Same rounds can be used in both rifles and handguns

There are others, but the above are the improtant ones for me...
