I recently aquired a new Glock and reading the manual got to the part where it says "your new glock should be field stripped cleaned and lubricated as follows....1.When brand new, before the first firing".

So, I did it. Including the copper colored goop on it.

Then a few pages later it says the copper colored lube should not be removed.

Ummm....should I be expecting any jams or hangups the first time out??? I thought the stuff was just packing grease and didn't realize it was an anti-sieze compound or something. Guess that why it says to read the whole manual first.
