That spring & retainer are available from S&W that goes under the rear sight, I ordered an extra for my parts stash.
Don't forget the extractor + roll pin for it.
The OR Shield uses an odd extractor & roll pin.
Of course, you could just cut a standard roll pin down, but the extractor won't have the extra spring inside to help hold the short roll pin, note: angle on tip of roll pin to feed through the spring-loaded part of the extractor's retainer. & Red Loctite is used on both ends of the roll pin.
I would just modify the pins in the slide with a file instead of adding a spacer which will raise the RDS up making Co-Witness worse...
Measure with a caliper inside the Holosun & make the pins just a bit shorter to fit just shy of the amount needed...

Others have said they couldn't buy that piece???
I have one BUT won't sell it as it completes my Shield Plus Optics Ready IF I ever sell it which is doubtful... OR remove the red dot...
It's made of polymer & would think SAW would sell them IF they have them in stock & available...
There are some aftermarket ones on eBay for $10+
Just looked & Freestone Armory has the factory ones from stripped slides for $40 with FREE S&H on eBay

2 currently available, get them quick as others want to complete the CDNN slides which are a bargain IMO... These are hard to find... + Correct Screws too!
Should be the same...Thanks, didn't know it was same as the one on the short slide. I saw those you mentioned but wasn't sure at first.
Don't know for sure as I don't have an optics ready 4" Shield BUT the footprint should be the same for the optics

In my stash of goodies, I have a set of cylinder hones for revolver cylinders, that have been used before to super clean & leave a cross hatched pattern to a pistols chamber bore.
I have .355"/38/357/9mm IF you can't get that chamber to your liking.
Bought at Brownell's decades ago to fix a rough S&W 940 9mms revolver cylinder.
The more I see problems with those FILTHY barrels I would steer clear of them.
Hope they work out for you guys...

The slides are drying up quickly.
