Just got my M&P40 back from Dan Burwell.

Shipped on Wed, back in my hands on following Tuesday!

Snakeskin backstrap and a really great trigger job. More slack/pretravel, but a very smooth release and minimal overtravel. With the stock trigger and its excessive overtravel, the front sight always moved/jiggled on release, no matter how firm my grip. Now the sight just sits there!

Hope to try it at the range tomorrow.

Dan Burwell of the site sponsor Burwell Gunsmithing just did a trigger job on my M&P9.

The results are well worth it. The release is very crisp @ 3.5-4 lb with no overtravel.

I was able to try it at the range and noted off hand and benchrest groups have been reduced.

He is very professional and rightfully takes pride in his work and short turnaround time.

-cause Burwell's been doing it longer and has great reviews.

And S&W wasn't doing it in 2006.

Hi Fred

I read your post saying you just got a trigger job by Dan Burwell, I want to get some work done by him, but i have not been able to get a response from him.

Did you actually talk to him before you sent him yours?Should I just send him my gun or should I talk to him first?

thanks

John Burwell...1st Welcome to the site. He's a busy man and will get to you but you can also PM him or go to his web site and look around. Some of your questions may find answers that way. When I will have him do some thing I plan on calling him and having a chat so that we both get on the same page on what I will want. My .02
