Well I've been browsing this site for a good week, probably. I just purchased my first M&P9 on Tuesday and got it out to the range yesterday. This thing is sweet. I think it's going to make a fine weapon. However, until now the only pistol I've ever dealt with was a Taurus PT92. So to be honest, knowing that there is really no safety on this pistol does make me feel a little...uneasy. I think it's just something I'm not accustomed to yet. But, just wanted to say hey!



I got the pistol at Buds Gun Shop in Paris, KY. That place has got a great selection, and killer prices! $399, before taxes. I know of nowhere that you can beat that price!

The first thing I'm going to tell you is that the M&P is a LOT safer than your Taurus, the design is inherently more safe than any double action/single action type pistol.
