I enjoy most mil-surp rifles, and shotguns, I've built more than my share of FAL's.
I have been using a single action Ruger sucessfully as a deer hunting tool for several years now.
And I have a soft spot for neglected and abused quality .22 rifles...I've often bought one that wasn't worth fixing, and spent 3x it's value making it as like new as possible, just so that it could sit in my cabinet and look shiney, instead of sitting in someones trunk rusting.
I don't have an M&P .45 yet, but have declaired my intent to buy one to the Boss...so it's comming.
