Purchased (4) 9mm 17 round mags from a local shop, but they came with the black mag followers.



After reading on here that the grey colored followers are the "new and improved" version, I called S&W and placed an order. The gray's are currently back ordered because they're hording them for production guns, the phone operator said.



Anyway got a postcard in the mail today from Smith, which says the grey's will be in within 4 to 6 weeks.

Well the grey followers I ordered just over two months ago arrived. Yes there is a difference between the black and grey followers, slight but they are different.
