Nope, Not the same dovetail cut. Unfortunatly there are at least a half dozen different novak dovetail cuts. None of them will work with the M&P. The M&P Novak cut is an all together new cut this is why there is not any replacement sights on the market YET. There will be some replacements soon, hopefully in the next couple weeks

Dan
FWIW I emailed Heinie about some Straight Eights and the response i got was they were expecting to have them ready first of the year.
Thanks for the info i will be getting in touch with heine first of the year

Good deal. Dan, can you keep us informed on a few different aftermarket sights that come out for the MP?

I would hope that Warren Tactical would also put out a set, kind of like his Sevigny sights for the Glocks.

What do you use for USPSA, (provided you shoot USPSA), or IDPA?

Thanks,

I'll be stocking the Warren sights as soon as they start shipping, I'm high up on the list.
Jester, thanks for staying on top of the aftermarket goodies for the M&P and keeping us posted. Is it just me, or does seem like the aftermarket suppliers seems to be moving slow considering the popularity of the M&P?

That's good news, I'll have to keep my eye out because Warren Tacticals are first on my upgrade list.
Just to revive this thread a bit....

I sent an email to Heinie about sights for the M&P, and about a week ago they replied stating that they expect them to be available in 4-6 weeks.
have any of the custom gunsmiths picked up the straight 8s? I pick up a M&P 9 this week and will be replacing the factory sights

I dont believe that Heinie has made them available yet....
I think Warren 2-dot night sights will be available before the end of the year. I spoke with Scott at the IDPA Nationals and bugged him incessantly for a set.

All three semiauto division champs (CDP, ESP, SSP) were using Warren sights, as well as two out of the three 1st Master and 2nd Master winners. Warren sights were also used by the High Industry, High Lady, High Law Enforcement, High Military, High Military Veteran, and High Senior winners (9 shooters, 13 trophies).

I have a few of my rear sights a single tritium vial.
Latest word, as of today, from the Heinie camp on M&P Slant Pro sights is... "in a couple of weeks."

I'd really like to get a couple sets of these, but I don't think they're ever going to materialize
I'm wondering what front sight height the Heinie rear will require?
I like the Heine dot above dot (figure 8) sights but like even more the simple post rear, dot front (i sight.) I'm looking for something simpler with the fastest acquisition. I'll probably either go with an XS or Suresight. XS is available now. Suresight is supposed to be available in June.
