New guy from Illinois checking in...

I'm a long-time Glock shooter, but an even longer-time S&W fan. I've ignored most new S&W autos for years, but decided to check out the buzz on the the M&P. I've been looking to replace my G23 due to concerns about the unsupported chamber and was about ready to get a HK P2000, but after handling a full-sized M&P today I think I need to check out a M&P 40c first. The trigger pull was very intriguing - I assume the grittiness can be smithed out - and it fits my hand better than any Glock.

Question: is the M&P chamber supported better than the one in the Glock 40s?

Welcome. M&P chamber is supported. I have about 1000 rounds through my full size, and the trigger grit is gone. It worked itself out at about 300 rounds. The more I shoot it, the better it gets

Thanks! Sounds good - my 3913 was similar, gritty until I put a bunch of rounds downrange. I've always felt the best thing you can do for a new auto is shoot the snot out of it!

Welcome.

Yes, the M&P .40 chamber is better supported than Glock's.

The trigger grittiness can easily be polished out.
