Take a class to learn how your pistol works, the various problems that can occur, how to make and determine it is safe, and how to care for the gun. Seriously, this is your BEST choice.

The manual shows how to field strip for cleaning. You did read it right?

Dry Fire is important to get used to the gun. What it makes better is YOU.

Designed for 10, load to 10. Heck, load the ten, chamber and then load one more. That is how the gun was designed to be used.
Fred, I don't want to sound harsh, but please consider taking a class, or at least get someone to go with you that knows what they are doing. Too much could happen. For example, do you know what to do if the gun just goes click? What if it goes off, but the sound is too quiet and the slide doesn't cycle?
AT THE RANGE
Anything I should look for first mag?
First few mags in?
Thanks in advance,
