Holosun 507K to a S&W PCM&P 9 shield Plus NTS

I have a S&W PC M&P 9 Shield Plus NTS ported with the red dot factory cut out. (4") I would much rather have the Holosun 507K mounted. I have yet to find a plate to fit. After searching for a couple of hours on this forum, I must be searching with the wrong wording. I did find a reference but then I found no adapter plate. I am very open to suggestions. And this is my first red dot. (It did come with the Crimson, I have not even mounted it. Thanks for any help.

Go to CH Precision's website. They have the correct plates to mount the Holosun to the Shield Plus.

I bought this one for my Shield slides.

On my Sheld Plus I removed the back two posts to put a Holosun on it as I didn't know about the adaptor plates. The 4" Shield slides got these DPP plates and they worked fine. No issues so far.

Have you checked out the Holosun EPS and EPS Carry? The EPS Carry is made for smaller carry pistols like the Shield Plus.
My local store says the EPS Carry mounts to the Shield without an additional plate.

I had not heard of it. Thank you.

If you're wondering/not sure of what the 507 407 looks like on a Shield Plus, this is it.

From you're point of view.

From the side.

Not sure how this compares to the ones that RobzGunz recommended.

Edited it. It's a 407 on my Shield Plus, not a 507. Sorry about that.

Any thoughts on MOA? I see 2 and 6 are available. I drifted to the 2 MOA but being realistic, I don't see many shots of 100+ yards. Maybe at the range for fun. Seems like the furthest out we had to qualify was 25 yards. I do like the EPS Carry in the reviews. Thank you all for the help narrowing this down. (After more reading, I think the 6 MOA will fit my needs well. Thanks.)
I don't think I pay a lot of attention to dot size.

You're right about the smaller dots seeming to be better for longer ranges. And you decided how far off you're willing to shoot.

My old RMRs (dual illuminated models) had huge dots. I just sighted them in to the top of the dot was the point of impact at 12 to 15 yds. My pistols shot good groups even with the big dots.

My next pistol sights were a couple DP Pros. One dot, one triangle. My wife hated the triangle but I sighted it in so that the point at the top of the triangle was where the point of impact was (POI).

I will say, since I've gone to the Holosuns I've gone to the smaller dots.

One thing people say about the smaller dots is that if you have one and think it's too small you can turn up the brightness setting on the sight and the dot will appear bigger. However, if you have certain eye problems a brighter dot results in a much more blurry dot.

Good luck with that sight. When you go to the range please do a range report so the rest of us can see the results and get your opinion after you use that sight.

I went back and forth reading reviews and changing my mind. Then, remembering I had adapted well to iron sights and qualifying for years. I went with the 6 MOA. My sale would not go through. I sure hope that was not a sign. I ordered right when the price went up so it was not accepted. I changed dealers and all went smoothly, so far. Looking forward to getting it mounted now. I put a Vortex Viper PST gen II MRAD on my rifle and love it. This will be a nice set.
Six MOA at 25 yds. is about 1.5", right?

At 10 yds. it's just over 1/2" (if my mind/math isn't misleading me.)

Should be plenty small of a dot to not cover/hide whatever you want to shoot at.

If I'm crazy/dumb, let me know. Wouldn't be the first time I got thing backwards.
I went 507K with the 3moa dot. Works well c&h rmrc plate

If your Shield Plus is in 9mm, it does need a plate and it's included in the EPS Carry box. Unfortunately, my plate needed to be modified because the posts on my Shield Plus OR were flared. From my understanding, this is an inconsistent problem. So YMMV. S&W's suggested solution was to get one of the optics that they recommend, which was a no-go in my book.

Bigger in diameter at the bottom than at the top? That's what it looks like with that gap between the plate and the slide below the plate.

Is that the plate that came with the EPS sight? Have you tried the relatively cheap DPP plate like some of us ordered from Amazon? Different brand might be slightly looser on the posts and slide into place, might not, too. I've got them on a couple of my Shield slides (2.0 4" OR slides, one of which is on my Shield Plus frame.)

I had a gunsmith modify the plate. It sits flush now. I just found the response from S&W lacking TBH. Their recommended optics just don't meet my needs and simply put I wouldn't buy them for any of my pistols.

Glad to hear you got it fixed.

Yeah, S&W designed it for certain optics and like you, I decided I wanted something different. On my original Shield Plus slide I didn't realize there were plates available to adapt a Holosun to fit, so I removed the rear posts and shortened, slidghtly, the front posts and the Holosun fit fine. When the 4" slides became available (4" Shield 2.0 stripped slides from CDNN) some of us bought one or two and then built them up. For those one of members here found those DPP plates on Amazon and they're so cheap I bought them.

I admit it. Sometimes I buy cheap. Sometimes it works out fine.

Please let us know how it shoots for you at the range.

I bought the "DPP Titanium" plates on Amazon to fit a 407K to my Shield Plus. It came with two plates, one that covers all four factory posts but provides two front posts, and the other that covers all four posts but mounts the red dot flush and slightly lower. Both fit perfectly and the cost is very attractive. Highly recommended.
