I know that some of you guys shoot IDPA, and may have an answer for me. I'm looking for a decent "fast" holster (no thumb break or release button) to use in IPSC shooting. I nearly ordered the DeSantis Speed Scabbard, but I'm not sure if the M&P model allows you to carry with the barrel nearly vertical. To complicate things a bit, I'm a lefty. The IPSC rules aren't too harsh regarding holsters, but I obviously need to fit within them. Anybody got a recommendation?

I am left handed and use the Comp-Tac belt holster and it works very well for IDPA and IPSC production. Comp-Tac cataloges the holster for the M&P. Best news is that you don't have to wait 8 weeks for delivery.

blade-tech makes theirs in lefty. However, if you don't need dropped and offset, and comp-tac makes a lefty, their holster is the better holster IMO.

I usually use Comp-Tac, but Talon Tactical can put out a lefty one, he did for me. I think Jester said Mike at TT is a lefty.

I certainly am left handed and I have a few left hand M&P holster here in stock. Otherwise delivery is a week or so.



My carry holsters are certainly fast enough for competition as I was doing practice one shot draws with my M&P and my A10 holster (in cool breeze coyote brown). Draws were in the .72 to .85sec range at 10 yds on a Pro-shot timer
