Being a fan of "moulded to your weapon" gunleather nothing less that a perfect fit will do. If your site has holsters for the M&P please update your sites gun list please. I cant post what I cant see.(trust me I'm lookin!)

I have posted this once before, but I thought it was worthy of another mention. I bought a Desantis holster direct from S&W for $64.95...with the S&W M&P Logo embossed in the leather. Go to http://www.smith-wesson.com and looked under "Related Items" for the M&P

From what Im told the guys who make the gunmolds for the presses have not made one for the M&P. Being a monopoly they seem to be lazy about making one. Several holster makers are quite pissed off about it but can do nothing.

I forgot to ask who the maker was, does anyone know?

Perhaps a little pressure from the right direction might get them off their asses. :wink:

I know for certain that there are mold guns out there I had one in my hand a couple months ago at Josh Bulman's Shop. He does make holsters for the M&P. I have said before I don't think you can buy a finer holster than one of Josh's.

Thanks for the links. I ordered a Tucker "Answer" IWB for my M&P40. Not cheap, but the quality appears to be second to none. I will post a reveiw when I get it. (3-4 week delivery quote)

I really like Kevin's work, it was a custom order, but what says nice like real custom molded leather.



And it was VERY reasonable.

www.donhume.com offers a number of holsters for the M&P, I just ordered the 726, have one for a glock and I have always liked the design, makes it significantly easier to draw from a seated position, unfortunately a position I often find myself in.

I just got a new M&P9 (Full Size) and a holster is on the list next. Anyone have a couple suggestions as to what works best? There is so many different kinds that I figured it might just be easier to ask you.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Milt Sparks. I just ordered an M&P .40 last week off gunbroker. I expect to get it next week (I can't wait). Two weeks ago I ordered a Versa Max II IWB holster in black horsehide. They run about $100 and currently have a wait of around 16 - 22 weeks, but they are worth it. They didn't flinch about making a holster for an M&P.

CCW-Milt Sparks Versa Max II IWB leather holster

COMPETITION-Blackhawk CQB Serpa Kydex fake carbon fiber holster

TACTICAL-Safariland 6005 or 6305 drop leg holster

For what it's worth, these are my recommendations. All are made to fit full size M&P's. Milt Sparks will make to fit compact.

Has holsters specifically for the M&P. I was looking at the Blackhawk CQC Serpa holster and it was only 45 bucks here, cheapest I've seen yet. Worth taking a look at.

Well, I have been wearing my M&P40 in the "Answer" holster from Tucker Gun Leather for a little over a month now. It is by far the best made, most comfortable IWB holster I have ever tried. I previously carried my Glock 23 in a DeSantis "Scorpion" IWB holster, and the "Answer" is much more comfy than the Scorpion in my opinion. I received it a little over 3 weeks after I placed the order. It cost about $130.00 shipped. Not cheap, but so far it is worth every penny I spent on it. Highly recommend!!!

I ordered the Blackhawk CQC Carbon Fiber with Serpa Auto Lock from MidwayUSA. Got it 2 days later and I really like it so far. Haven't carried it out yet but wore it all day yesterday around the house and its felt good, I could hardly tell it was there. Just thought I'd share my 2 cents on what I like.

I just received a Safariland Model 6004 SLS Tactical Holster made specifically for the S&W M&P 9mm and it fits like a glove. My wife had initially ordered one as a surprise and the "customer service representative" swore that an incorrect model would fit. Once I received the suprise and it did not fit I called Safariland and they were great, got a return authorization and the right holster was sent 2 day air. So CUDOS to Safariland

I just bought an Uncle Mike's size 16 nylon for my M&P 40 - fits perfect, also has a mag holder.



Compared to the Blackhawk CQC, extra mag holder won the contest.



Very pleased - use it for a sidearm at the range.
