In first Place i want to tank you folks that teached me about the good and wonderful things about the M&P .

But I decided to Go with the Glock 17 because I have saw testimonials of people that gave 80,000 ,90,000 and even 100,000 shoots with no Problems .

and i saw allot of complains of tecnical problems in The M&P like : mag drop problem ,Slide Lock back or not locking back .

Correct Me if I am wrong .

I don't Want you guys to get mad with me ! Please .

But I think tha glock is Right Choice to me right now .

brazilianboy, it's you money to spend on what you want. I hope that you are very happy with your Glock. I just traded Glock G27 for my M&P and could not be happier. But that is me. Very few people will say anything bad about a Glock. They are a very good gun!!

Enjoy it, Ron

What is The Difference NCPatrolAR between the G 17 and the g 19

The Glock 17 is a full size pistol while the 19 is Glock's "compact" pistol. The 17 has a barrel size of 4.5" and only takes the full size 17 round magazines (or 10 rounders of equal size).

The Glock 19 has a barrel size of 4.02" and takes 15 round magazines. You can also run the full size 17 round mags in a 19 without issue also. The 19 is easier to conceal than the 17 and is just as accurate (for me anyways).

If you want a good range gun, I am not sure why you would get a Glock. It was designed as a battle side arm, not as a sweet shooter. Sure, it is a fine weapon and many people shoot it very well, but many compete with it because they use the same (or smaller) versions for carry, or like the trigger reset. If you want a good range gun, IMO you should pick up an all-steel pistol, which will have much less recoil. I enjoyed my CZ very much, or perhaps you should consider a 1911 or Sig in 9mm.

Once again someone reads a dozen or so posts of a problem and concludes that it is representative of the population at large. If this was the case, no one would buy 1911s.

I have, and shoot, both a G19 and the M&Pc 40. I can't say that I can seriously prefer one over the other, except that the M&Pc is easier for me to carry concealed. The G19 carries quite well, though. You will not have any regrets about buying a Glock, in any event. It's a great gun. You will find several forums that will reinforce your Glock decision. Keep on top of the gun issues, research, get all the training you can, and be SAFE!

Thanks For the Help I am Not looking Right Know for a Gun that I can conceal

i am looking to a gun good in range

But thanks !

If you're looking in 9mm for a good Glock for the range - the Glock 34 is a very nice gun. It was built for competition. Are you going to compete in any thing like IPSC? In 40 cal it's brother is the 35.

I've shot a Glock 34 since the year it came out in IDPA competition and it does a great job. I just got the M&P last fall and while I'm shooting it decently, I need a bit more range time with it. I will say I probably have 50,000+ rounds through the Glock and never had anything break.

BTW, have you checked out the GlockTalk forum? Lot of good info and people there as well. http://glocktalk.com/

I should have bought a Glock

I think you made the right decision buying the Glock I had my M&P 3 weeks and have sent it back due to Slide not locking back after shooting the last round and a couple failures to feed and eject. I received a letter today from S&W saying their turn around time is 2-3 weeks, that will be longer then I've owned the gun. I'm just hoping that all the treads are correct about S&W support and they make this right. I'll keep you posted. Have fun with the Glock!

You are dead to me.....

Man, whatever, shoot what you like. This wont be your last pistol purchase. Personally I think the problems are flukes with the M&P. I know a few people who's glocks won't feed hollow points. No biggie, every brand has its lemons. Enjoy your new glock.
