Can anyone help me evaluate this older gun, these are the stamps as I can determine.



AUTO.EJECTING 38 S & W.CTGE (does the period between auto and ejecting mean something?)

On the top strap is a stamp A OR H &R. ARMS CO. WORCESTER.MASS.

Removing a handle shows the stamp 165 on one side of a pin and 442 on the other; 442 is also stamped on the cylinder.

This is an old Harrington & Richardson topbreak revolver chambered for the 38 S&W cartridge (NOT the same as 38 special). It was likely built some time between the turn of the century and WW2. These were very common, inexpensive defensive guns in their day. They don't have much collectibility unless it is in like-new condition due to their commonality. Can't tell you anything else without pics, etc...
