The M&P made a great showing at the Nationals. According to the S&W Rep at the match, it seemed like there was at least one in every squad. We had four in our squad and each of them ran perfectly. Three were built by Dan Burwell. One placed second in SSP Expert, fourth in SSP Marksman and sixth in SSP Marksman. The non-Burwell M&P placed in SSP Master.

srva,

I am glad you all did so well.
I trust you all had a good time while you were there. 8)

I know I had some others there as well. Hopefully they will let us know how they did.

It's a shame there is no way of telling who was shooting what gun. I know in a few weeks they will publish the stats letting us know the percentage of shooters shooting S&Ws, but still would be nice to know how the M&P did score wise.

Hopefully next year I will be able to make the trip. Of course, I would probably drag the M&P showing down, but I am sure I could do it in style. 8)

Dan, Couldn't have done it without your help. The gun ran flawlessly. Worst part of it is that I got bumped to SSP Master so I'll have to kick it up a notch. Rumor is that the Nationals will be close to you next year so maybe we can build an M&P only squad. Thanks for your support.

If IDPA follows last year's format, they should provide make and model of pistols used. We should know how many M&P shooters participated in the Nationals.

By the way, the patches were a hit and made for some great photo ops.

According to the Tactical Journal I have, there were 9 M&P's at the Nationals. 2 .40 S&W and 7 in 9mm. There were 13 XD's of various sizes. Glock still has the lion's share with 100 guns of various sizes. 46 of those were G34 models (5.25 barrel). I sure would like to see an M&P model with a 5.25 inch barrel.
