I found an M&Pc9 at the gun show this weekend for $399 NIB from a major dealer. I hadn't ever handled the compact, but immediately liked it. I have a 90-two (beretta) that I have a few rounds through and keep for HD, but full size on my thin frame doesn't work for CCW. I was planning to find a Kahr PM9, but couldn't find one from a dealer that didn't seem a little shady.

Haven't had it to the range yet, but it feels good, points well, is concealable and (at least in dry fire) the trigger seems tolerable. Anyone have comments about the trigger regarding break-in and smoothing out?

Range report is pending a field trip.

Suggestions for a good IWB would be appreciated? I like the DeSantis OWB, but as the weather starts to warm up, want to avoid being ID'd if I take off my heavy jacket.

Thanks.

Welcome!
That is a good price for the compact, you will love it. The trigger will smooth out with use or you can always send it out to Dan Burwell to have a trigger job done. I personally use a modified Crossbreed IWB and have found it to be the most comfortable and concealable. Enjoy!

Welcome.

My full size 40 trigger smoothed out after about 300 rounds. Now I have about 1200 rounds through it, and the trigger is very smooth. Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 in horsehide. Long wait, and high dollar, but well worth it. I'm poor, but I won't skimp on a CC holster.
