If this thing is turned off, does it make any difference if it's there or not ? and how do you take it out ? or should i even bother.

Jeff.

PS read about the mag disconnect and have the pdf for that already, but thought this was completely seperate?

Go to www.brownells.com and type in part number 940-000-983 for the sear housing block assembly with no internal lock, or part number 940-000-982 for the sear housing block assembly with out the internal lock or mag disconnect. $25.77

Or you can get the replacement blocks from S&W, they are the same price as Brownells.

Remove the rollpin, and replace the block, reinsert rollpin. Viola! No internal lock.

thanks

Appreciate the info, someone else said that to me also, and I was just not sure as the instructions didn't really mention "doing" anything for the intergral lock.

That's cool though.. new sear block coming up.
