Hi all,
I just bought my M&P40 today (MPA6xxx). Brought it home, cleaned it and took it to the range. I put 50rds of Speer Gold Dot and 50rds CCI Speer Clean Fire through it w/ no hiccups. I like the gun a lot and look forward to much more practice. I've been carrying a Walther P99AS 9mm for the last year so it's taking a bit of practice to get acustomed to the new trigger. Fortunately it doesn't have any trigger grit, it's just a tad heavy. I'm used to having constant movement to fire on the trigger (double action) and having a such a defined pressure wall is a new sensation but I'm sure I'll get used to it. At first I was jerking the trigger and grouping about 2" low at 7yds but after about 70rds I was able to get a grip (pun intended) and bring the rounds back into the black. My best groups were in the 1-2" range at 7yds.
I've got several spare mags on order and I'm considering getting night sights. Any suggestions on a brand? Has anyone heard about the possibility of CT lasergrips? (So I don't get flamed I train without them but I don't mind having them along for the ride). I also have the pleasure of waiting for my BladeTech holsters to show up (about 5 weeks out) before I can get full use out of it. I'm planning on adding the M&P9c to my collection on Tuesday when it comes into the shop.
Thanks all for the input from this forum. I'm very pleased w/ my newest addition to the family!
Sincerely,
MC
